GarageBand is designed more for creating sounds than editing existing sounds. Logic Pro (now part of Apple Creative Studio) is designed specifically for editing sound rather than creating sound. This page does have information on getting rid of background noise in GarageBand, but it goes well beyond anything I’ve ever tried: https://producersociety.com/background-noise-garageband/
Thanks for the information & link. I will experiment with a couple of sound clips that have awful wind noise. They can’t really be much worse.😐
